Roasting Coffee

Coffee is processed from plants grown in tropical climates. It arrives in our store as green beans in burlap bags. We roast our coffee in a 12 Kilo Sasa Samiac roaster that we call “Big Red”.

Cool Beans Coffee Roasters roasts our many types of coffee in small batches several times per week. Our philosophy on coffee is that it should not look or taste “Burnt”. Our coffee is roasted to the lighter end of the “dark roast spectrum” which typically appears mahogany or brown in color with no oils present at the end of the roast.

We feel that this is the best profile for beans to taste the fullness of the flavor without getting the “smoky” taste.
